OPERATING PARTS
Operating Parts and Standard Elements by KIPP
No matter how small and unremarkable they are: Without operating parts and standard elements, automated systems, robots or machines would not work. The components ensure optimum functionality and enable significant increases in efficiency in production plants around the world.
HEINRICH KIPP WERK produces 65,000 different operating parts and standard elements in Germany and continues to set standards on the market with its products.
What are operating parts and standard elements?
Standard elements are technical components that are manufactured according to a specific standard. Operating elements are elements in a work system through which a person interacts with the work process.
Operating parts and standard Elements by KIPP
- are used by designers in their daily work,
- reduce design time and
- decrease production, assembly and process costs.
Use and application areas of operating parts and standard elements
Standard elements and operating parts are used in mechanical engineering, toolmaking and plant construction, among others. However, they are also used on testing equipment, medical devices as well as on metrology instruments and in shipbuilding. Operating parts and standard elements from KIPP are also widely used in metal, timber and plastic processing industry.
Other advantages of operating parts and standard elements by KIPP:
- high availability from stock
- short delivery times
- immediate availability of CAD data

The range includes clamping levers, tension levers, cam levers, a wide variety of grips and knobs, crank handles, thrust screws, indexing plungers, spring plungers, levelling feet, hinges, telescopic slides and much more.
Clamping levers, tension levers and cam levers
KIPP clamping levers, tension levers and cam levers are the first choice wherever components on machines, devices or fixtures have to be clamped or secured. A wide variety of designs, colours and materials is available for machine, tool and plant construction.
Clamping levers and tension levers by KIPP are ideal for manual adjustment in fixation tasks and clamping applications. Cam levers are ideal for quick fixation.
Grips and knobs
Grips and knobs by KIPP are also highly suitable for manually fastening or clamping components. The products feature good haptics and an appealing design. At KIPP we supply them in a variety of designs with various clamping forces and for a wide range of spatial conditions.
The grip and knob range includes
- Knurled nuts,
- knurled screws,
- palm grips,
- star grips,
- knurled knobs,
- wing screws, and
- ball knobs.
Pull handles, tubular handles, recessed handles
HEINRICH KIPP WERK is one of the leading suppliers of pull handles in Germany. As with tubular and recessed handles, pull handles can be used to open and close covers, hoods and panels. Handles by KIPP impress with their excellent haptics and durability. They are not only used in the furniture industry, but also in machine, plant and tool construction as well as in rehabilitation and medical technology.
These handles are part of the KIPP range:
- Pull handles
- Tubular handles
- Arched pull handles
- Recessed handles
- Ledge handles
- Fold-down handles
Handwheels, crank handles, position indicators
Handwheels by KIPP are used for manual positioning and adjustment of shafts and spindles. These operating parts are mainly used as control elements to make manual adjustments. Among other things, they are components of measuring and testing equipment, but are also used in shipbuilding as well as in armament, machine and plant construction.
Crank handles, on the other hand, are more suitable for applications with long adjustment ranges. KIPP manufactures many different types of crank handles - e.g. with a rotating or fixed machine handle and with cylinder grips or safety cylinder grips.
Position indicators by KIPP enable the direct reading of preset values at a glance. The position indicators from KIPP are very compact and have an easy-to-read display. KIPP offers mechanical and electronic versions.
Quarter-turn locks, edge protection profiles
Quarter-turn locks by KIPP are used to lock all kinds of hatches, switchboxes, metal lockers and machine doors. They are sturdy and also available in styles that can be locked with a key. Edge protection profiles are used for protection and decoration on sheet metal edgings. The KIPP range also includes quarter-turn clamp locks and clamping plates.
Hinges
Hinges connect two solid components so that they can move in relation to each other. KIPP supplies the industry with hinges and spring hinges in various styles and in a wide range of materials.
Levelling feet
Levelling feet compensate for unevenness and slight differences in height that can occur when setting up machines or fixtures.
The KIPP range includes:
- Levelling feet
- Threaded pins
- Swivel feet
- Machine feet
- Equipment feet
- Tube inserts
Tube connectors, profile connectors
Tube clamps allow for easy, flexible and cost-effective assembly of profile constructions and systems. KIPP also supplies profile connectors, reducing bushes, square tubes, tube end plugs and connectors.
Telescopic slides
KIPP offers a wide range of telescopic slides with different load-bearing ratings. They are supplied as full extensions and partial extensions and are available in numerous equipment options.
Latches, snap locks, slam latches
Latches and slam latches are used as a simple locking mechanisms for covers, cladding and containers in machine, plant, aggregate and container construction. Snap locks are intended for flush installation on doors, hatches, hoods, drawers and traps.
Toggle clamps, power clamps
Toggle clamps and power clamps are used as retaining and assembly devices in assembling and clamping technology as well as in toolmaking and fixture construction.
KIPP supplies:
- Toggle clamps,
- power clamps,
- connectors,
- pull clamps,
- toggle clamp hooks,
- push-pull toggle clamps,
- ,pneumatic clamps and
- thrust screws.
Clamping elements
Clamping elements hold the workpiece in position for CNC machining. Clamping elements include such devices as clamp straps, claw clamps, hook clamps, cam clamps, cam levers and pivot bearings.
Spring plungers, indexing plungers, ball lock pins
Spring plungers are used for arresting and indexing components. Indexing plungers and ball lock pins are used to lock and engage assemblies.
Support elements, positioning elements, stop elements
These elements enable easy alignment of workpieces in machine tool and fixture constructions. In addition to thrust screws, KIPP also supplies grippers, locating pins, rest pads and many other support and positioning elements.
Machine elements, fixture components
Many of these products simplify the daily routine of mechanical engineers and designers enormously. KIPP manufactures screws, nuts, washers, studs, cap nuts, hex nuts, and drill bushes.
Joints
Joints, clevises, snap-in pins and axial joints: all these standard elements ensure transmission and redirection of forces. At KIPP customers can choose from a wide range of joints.
Magnets
Magnets are frictional fastening elements that can be easily removed. Application areas include mechanical and plant engineering, electrical engineering and the automotive industry.
KIPP manufactures many types of magnet, e.g.
- bar magnets,
- deep pot magnets,
- magnets with threads and
- shallow pot magnets.
Buffer elements
KIPP also offers a wide range of buffer elements, such as rubber buffers. These elements absorb kinetic energy from power units and assemblies. This reduces the effects of vibrations over the entire system.
Level indicators, screw plugs
Level indicators are often used in hydraulic systems as oil level indicators, for example.
Linear scales, scale rings, level vials
